This work is a three-dimension world map covered by more than 1000 SIM CARDS, most of these cards are red, which represents a form of a “VIRUS”. The technology applied to smartphones creates an addiction to these, which is already a global phenomenon. This sculpture is about the improper and irrational use of these, ironically creating an isolation primarily among youth.
A father shared a story about his two sons. His 15-year-old son had more than 5000 friends on Facebook, he had a serious accident and no one came to see him or called. His 25-year-old son had an operation his three best friends never left him alone in the hospital.

The planet is framed in gold-colored symbolizing companies that look at the world as a money-making machine. They do not realize that millions of people are falling into a “black hole” that consumes them, while global warming does its part in destroying Mother Earth.
